Another sales season is over with 6 yearlings, 3 foals and one mare successfully sold. While there will be no champagne breakfasts on the proceeds, it has been an ok year (maybe a Bacon Butty will be possible)!

We now have 3 home bred foals to go to war with as yearlings, along with 2 pinhooks. The three homebreds are a Calyx and a Profitable colt and a stunning daughter of Wootton Bassett out of Apres Midi. A Nathaniel colt bought by our granddaughter Valentina , and a cracking son of Almanzor make up the numbers for next year.

We have 7 mares due to foal between late February and end March ( Mohaather, Muhaarar,Make Believe,Profitable,Sea the Moon,Bated Breath and Zoustar ) and a quarter share in Rubira in Ireland due to New Bay.

We will cover 12 this coming year including Tippy Toes, who we bought off the track and whose mum, Mullein was bred here and her dam, Gipsy Moth, was one of our first broodmares.

She may go back into training in foal all being well to try to pick up some black type.

On the track for 2022- Madame Bonbon will feature with Mark Johnston after she recovers from a mid season fracture and SnoozeNYouLose with Karl Burke and Shakenotstirred with Sean Woods ( both of whom are at home here for a holiday) will resume as three year old fillies about whom we have high hopes.

In the meantime we have acquired 4 Alpacacs to help clean the paddocks and entertain the grandchildren!
