It is great to be able to announce that another Laundry Cottage Stud bred horse has won a Group 1 race, the highest category in the sport.

Via Sistina won the Irisk Pretty Polly Stakes at the Curragh at the beginning of the month for owners Stephen and Rebecca Hillen.

She is by Fastnet Rock out of the Galileo mare , Nigh, and was a foal share with stallion owner, Coolmore.

She was bred to benefit from the productive Galileo/Danehill cross which has been so successful over the last 20 years.

Via Sistina went on to take 3rd in a subsequent Group 1 race over the shorter mile, the Falmouth Stakes at Newmarket on 14th July, and there is undoubtadly more to come for the rest of the season.

Prepping for the Autumn sales is underway with a Havana Grey filly going to the Goffs Premier sale (unfortunately we have had to withdraw our other entrant, a Sea the Moon filly with a foot injury) , but she will appear at sale at a later date.

A Showcasing half brother to exciting French 2 year old, Havana Cigar, goes to Tattersalls Part 2 , as does a Mohaather, half brother to Zaman and SnoozeNYouLose, and we send a lovely Make Believe colt to Part 3 , the first foal of Listed placed mare Brassica.

A nice Harry Angel colt also goes to Part 3, along with a strong ,good walking Nathaniel filly who boards here at LCSF.

The foals are a super bunch. Headed by an outstanding New Bay filly ex DoReMiFaSol and a Zoustar colt ex Special Purpose,  we also have 3 top notch Kameko’s and nice foals by Iffraaj, Sea the Moon, Masar and Mohaather, along with two boarders by Ulysses and Mohaather.

We will find out , at the fall of the auctioneer’s hammer, just how nice they are!
